What Do Psychics See When Doing a Reading Really?

I’ve been giving readings for over two decades now and I get asked this a lot. What do you really see when doing a reading?

The truth is this is a super hard question to answer because it’s going to be hard to answer without trampling on a few beliefs. There are absolutely readers out there who chant ‘in tongues’ and claim to see spirits in the corner of their eye etc…

And maybe they’re right. Maybe that’s what they see. Maybe they genuinely go into some sort of trance.

Or maybe they’re telling you what you want to hear.

Some of you have already tuned out now. We want to be told that psyhics have access to something super-human but I don’t think that’s the case.

What tools like the Tarot cards do is allow us to tap into our intuition and see patterns. When I do a reading I see the person the front of me and the cards unfold. I see the links between the cards and interpret their meaning.

This doesn’t take away from the use of the Tarot in giving us spiritual guidance. I think being honest about what a reading involves is key to really getting results from it.

It’s a complicated answer. Because there are a lot of factors that vary from people who claim to have “psychic abilities” and similar gifts, it can vary by spirit, location, type of “gift” the person has, how well they know how to use it, and on and on. Theres no cookie cutter answer here.Most I’ve encountered, at the least, feel/sense them, but “seeing” them isnt always a tool that works for every spirit either. Not every gifted person can even communicate. Im somewhere in the middle personally. It very much, in my case, varies due to the type and strength, and maybe even “age” of the spirit I’m dealing with. By most can tell if you have an attachment to some degree, but may not be able to do more than acknowledge an energy is there.

To put it simply: whenever you interact with another living being, there is a transfer of energy between you and the other individual. That energy can be positive or negative; i.e., the time you spend with that individual, good or bad, carries on with you. That means, even when you feel you’ve left your past in the past, it still persists in subconscious space. Cutting these cords can certainly impact your mental and emotional well-being, typically for the better.

As for the second part of the question, it depends on the “psychic”. Intuition is the cornerstone of psychic ability, and intuition can manifest more than one way. Some psychics are Empaths, and channel their intuition through emotion. Some, like a relative of mine, can see “psychic residue” like cords and auras. Personally, I can feel things like cords but cannot physically see them. Not all psychics are the same!

Now, this all said. Maybe there are people who genuinely see something. The only way you’re ever going to know for sure is see something for yourself while giving a reading so I’ll accept guidance from sources who seem to be helping. Crazy claims or not.
